Back in 2016, I had the same questions in my mind.
Hey there. My name is Armaan. I love food and feast on all savory dishes and sweets.
I was leading a sedentary lifestyle and was gaining fat at a phenomenal rate. So much so that I became obese.
It wasn’t long that the Hell started breaking loose on me. I developed high blood pressure. Cholesterol levels were messed up. My addiction to sweets made me diabetic.
I started developing severe low back pain due to the abnormal amount of weight in the upper body.
My physician prescribed me a bunch of medicines which I was reluctant to take at first. I hate medicines.
I took the prescription drugs for about couple of months but I wasn’t making much progress. Things were getting worse for me. I couldn’t sleep at night as I could feel my heart racing and blood pumping in my temples.
Being very active and athletic, since my childhood, I could not bring myself to believe that I have now developed a bunch of health disorders.
The thought of going under a knife scares me more than anything else in life.
I was in a state of shock.
I knew if things didn’t change for me anytime soon, I won’t be able to see my little daughter grow up. That’s when I decided to start researching on the human body, metabolic disorders, and fitness. My science degree helped me to pick up things fast.
I cleaned the junk out of my diet and started working out. I knew that my body will fight back and I will hit a plateau. So I wanted to stay ahead in the game.
I came across so many diet programs. Everyone was claiming their diet to be the best diet to lose weight. I decided to try all of them out.
By switching diets every 4-6 weeks, I kept my body guessing. I was able to lose 3-4 kgs consistently every month.
I have tried every diet that you can think of:
Paleo, Keto, Low Carb, High Protein, Intermittent Fasting, no sugar, no salt
Finally, my efforts paid off.
It was difficult and stressful as I didn’t seek any professional help. But at the end, it was rewarding. I not only became healthy but also gained enormous knowledge.
Once I saw the wonderful benefits of losing fat myself, I wanted to extend my learning to help others achieve the same. This is where the idea of starting a health blog originated.
